How HOME by Funnel Inc. expands housing opportunity across the country and cements ongoing commitment to philanthropy

Non-profit affectionately known as HOME, or Housing Opportunities Made Equal, funded through scalable, ongoing mechanisms to create positive change in housing crisis

$1

is donated to HOME from each new lease signed and completed using the Funnel platform in perpetuity.

The Challenge

Too often, individuals and families face unnecessary barriers to securing a safe place to live—whether due to economic hardship, lack of rental history, or limited access to affordable units. Multifamily operators want to be part of the solution but often lack a direct, streamlined way to channel resources and available units toward people who need them most.

The Solution

HOME serves as the connector between multifamily operators and trusted local nonprofits dedicated to expanding housing opportunities. HOME by Funnel Inc., is funded in part by donating $1 to HOME for each new lease signed and completed using the Funnel online leasing solution.

The Results

Since launch, HOME has partnered with Entryway with an initial $10,000 donation in 2023 and ongoing donations and partnership. HOME continues to increase funds, and impact through the increased scale of of Funnel’s online leasing solution.

“HOME is proof that the multifamily industry can open doors in more ways than one. We’ve made it easy for operators to give back while creating housing opportunities that change lives.”

KEY INSIGHTS

How HOME was born—a desire to do more

As HOME (Housing Opportunities Made Equal) was created, the goal was crystal clear: create a scalable funding mechanism—not in flashy, infrequent checks—but via sustainable actions. That’s why HOME is funded by giving $1 for every new lease signed through Funnel’s online leasing solution. This model ensures the impact grows over time.

Why Entryway was the first partner

Entryway was a natural fit as HOME’s inaugural nonprofit partner. Like HOME, Entryway shares the mission to expand housing opportunities by focusing on economic stability through career training, employment, and housing. HOME’s CEO, Tyler Christiansen, joined Entryway’s Central Florida advisory board, underlining the deep alignment between the two organizations. The continued donations enable Entryway to serve more individuals and families. For more about the partnership, please watch the full video below.
